Bridgwater & Taunton College has secured funding for a new Welding Centre of Excellence (WCoE) to be based at the Bridgwater Campus.

Working in collaboration with Weldability Sif, South West Institute of Technology (SWIOT), Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Heart of the South West LEP (HotSW LEP), with a clear focus on creating a world-class technical curriculum that employers drive and which students aspire to, the WCoE, will address regional skills shortages in welding and associated trades, providing training for new entrants into the industry and upskilling, training and trade testing for those already employed in the sector.

In order for us to tailor the curriculum to industry needs, we are inviting employers to have a say at our welding forum. You'll be able to find out how you can get involved and ways in which BTC can support your training and business requirements.
