UCS are launching a new programme for Project Managers in 2020. This brand new Apprenticeship standard offers a blended learning approach consisting of a series of masterclasses and online learning.

Project Manager Overview:

Projects can be defined and delivered within different contexts, across diverse industry sectors. They can be large or small. Every project needs to be managed to ensure its success, An associate project manager knows what needs to be achieved, how it will be achieved, how long it will take and how much it will cost, and works with the project team to achieve the required outcomes. Associate project managers need good planning, organisation, leadership, management and communication skills. An associate project manager utilises resources with suitable skills, qualifications, experience and knowledge to work together in a motivated and integrated team, with clearly defined reporting lines, roles, responsibilities and authorities.

Delivery: 12-18 months

A series of 10 masterclasses and e-learning. The initial full-day masterclass will be delivered on-site at the Taunton Campus, all subsequent hour long masterclasses are to be delivered online. Along side the masterclasses you will be required to undertake the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) e-learning.

Funding: Dependent upon the size of the organisation you are working for, funding may be available through the Apprenticeship Levy. Please email business@btc.ac.uk for further information. 

Entry Requirements:

Level 2 English & Maths would be required with evidence to support.

You need to be employed in a Project Manager role or a position where you oversee projects as part of your working practice. It is applicable for all sectors.
