The government is investing £2.5 billion in the National Skills Fund, which will help adults to train and gain valuable skills, improving job prospects and furthering careers.
From April 2021, any adult aged 24 and over who wants to achieve their first full Level 3 qualification, will be able to access hundreds of fully-funded courses!
The Level 3 adult offer is part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee announced by the Prime Minister in September 2020. This offer is a long-term commitment to remove the age constraints and financial barriers for adults looking for their first Level 3 qualification so that they can access training to enable them to progress.
A Level 3 qualification is equivalent to an Advanced Technical Certificate or Diploma, or two full A levels.
The qualifications which are available for FREE*, have been carefully chosen to help adults improve their job prospects - they have good wage outcomes and address skills needs in the economy.
Level 3 courses currently available under the scheme at BTC include:
- Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Distance Learning)
- Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of End of Life Care (Distance Learning)
- Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health (Distance Learning)
- Level 3 Certificate in Understanding the Principles of Dementia Care (Distance Learning)
- Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism (Distance Learning)
- Level 3 AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting
- Level 3 Diploma For the Early Years Practitioner (Early Years Educator)
- Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
- Level 3 Certificate in Nuclear Engineering
